Working through files, books, and other materials as I sort and clean out in preparation for the move, and found a great hymn lyric by Kristian Ostergaard (1892), titled "That Cause Can Never Be Lost or Stayed". It is a hymn with perspective for the metaphorical storms of life. The final verse:
Be then no more by a storm dismayed,
for by it the full-grown seeds are laid;
and though the tree by its might it shatters,
what then, if thousands of seeds it scatters!
