JP Bohanan has been a United Methodist pastor since 1992. He grew up in Southeast Asia and the USA, plays guitar, coaches soccer, and speaks some Spanish. He graduated from Columbia Bible College (1990) and Lancaster Theological Seminary (1996).

Robin Bohanan grew up in York County, works as an RN, and is in graduate school for nursing. In 2005, she spent six weeks in Lesotho, Africa training the staff of two hospitals in HIV/AIDS care. JP and Robin were married in 1990.
Their sons, Jesse and Caleb are in 9th and 11th grade.
